Dealing With Disagreements Without Being Disagreeable

Paul has some practical advice for dealing with disagreements between members of the Body of Christ EPHESIANS 4:2,15,23-26
•  Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other,
making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
For more, go to MAKING ALLOWANCES.
•  Speak the truth in love, growing more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
•  Let the Holy Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
•  Stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbours the truth.

Challenging The Sin Without Condemning The Sinner      JOHN 8:2-11

A marvelous example of the way Jesus confronted sin but did not condemn the sinner is to be seen in the way he dealt with a young woman caught in the very act of adultery.
Notice how Jesus  -
Confronts the sin  "You're free to go, but not to go on sinning."
• Does NOT condemn the sinner "Where are your accusers? "

He shows her God's compassion without compromising God's standards of holiness. He speaks God's truth into the situation, but does so with love and a godly tenderness, just like God the Father in PSALM 103:13-14.  For more on this episode, click on DESPERATE FOR LOVE(2)
