Jesus' Four Spiritual Disciplines
Jesus had a close relationship with God as
Father.
To keep in daily contact, he practised four spiritual
disciplines
• HE SPENT TIME ALONE WITH GOD in a quiet place eg mountains
• HE LISTENED TO GOD in prayer, Scripture meditation & fasting
• HE TALKED TO GOD in prayer
• HE PRAISED & WORSHIPPED GOD with his lips and his life
In practising these four spiritual disciplines Jesus gave us a model for how to develop and maintain our
relationship with God as our heavenly Father - Abba!
