The Choice Is Heaven Or Hell
The Rich Man wants Abraham to warn his five brothers on earth about the reality of life after death and of heaven & hell.
Abraham replies that they have all the evidence they need already in God's Written Word - The Law of Moses and The Books of the Prophets in the Old Testament.
The Rich Man retorts " No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent."
The Point of the Parable LUKE 16:31
Jesus closes the parable with the following prophetic words, spoken by Abraham: "If they do not believe Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced, even if someone rises from the dead."
God Doesn't Send People To Hell: The Choice Is Theirs JOHN 3:16-18
American cardiologist Dr Maurice Rawlings has conducted research into the testimonies of people who have had near death experiences and survived to tell their stories. Some of these testimonies have been positive accounts of seeing Jesus and a beautiful place they have identified as heaven. But a number of individuals have described feelings of absolute terror as they found themselves in a place of torment, which they identified as hell. Many of these individuals had no church connections and did not believe in life after death before their experiences.
