The Rationality Of The Christian Faith
Evidence & Experience In Faith
Contrary to the claims of rationalists and atheists, Christians are not irrational idiots who use religion as a crutch, but men and women of faith based on -
• RATIONAL EXAMINATION OF EVIDENCE
Objectively from Creation, the Bible, the historical life, death,
resurrection &
ascension of Jesus Christ; the
nation of Israel & the
growth of the Church.
Subjectively of God at work transforming the lives of individuals
• EXPERIENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
in a supernatural work of conviction of sin, conversion & transformation
of people's lives
One of the ways you know if someone has experienced a genuine work of the Holy Spirit is if their lives show a definite change from wanting to do things God hates to wanting
to go God’s way.
Check off your own experiences from the list below.
A desire to read the Bible and hear what God wants to say to me
A hatred of some of the things I used to love doing
A love of other people, especially Christian brothers and sisters
A desire to spend time getting to know Jesus better
A sense I really am a child of the Living God by His grace and mercy
Knowing God has forgiven my sins & that he loves me
A new sense of wonder at the universe & God’s creation
A recognition of what it cost God to forgive my sins
